Ingredients (for approx. 6–8 Christmas trees)
✓ 2 rolls of vegan puff pastry
✓ 50 g Lotao Veggie Mince
✓ 1 small onion
✓ 1 clove of garlic
✓ 80 ml passata
✓ 1 tbsp tomato paste
✓ 1 tbsp soy sauce
✓ ½ tsp salt
✓ A little pepper, paprika powder, garlic powder & oregano
✓ A little olive oil for frying
✓ Vegan cheese fit for the stars
preparation

Preheat oven to 200 °C (top/bottom heat).

Prepare the veggie mince according to the package instructions (simply mix with hot water and let it sit).

Finely chop the onion and garlic and sauté them in a little olive oil until translucent.

Add the prepared veggie mince and fry until browned. Add spices and salt.

Deglaze with soy sauce, stir in tomato paste, and sauté briefly.

Pour in the strained tomatoes and simmer for about 2-3 minutes.

Roll out one sheet of puff pastry, spread the filling evenly over it. Place the second sheet of pastry on top.

Cut into strips approximately 2 cm wide. Carefully twist these into Christmas tree shapes and skewer them.

Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, until golden brown.

Cut out small stars from vegan cheese and skewer them to form the top of a tree.
