Pour the desired amount with 5 times the amount of boiling water or vegetable broth and let it swell for about 2 minutes. Then drain in a sieve and we process normal mince.

It is best to close the veggie hack well after you have opened it and then use it up by the best-before date printed on it.

When prepared, a 1kg supply of Veggie Mince roughly corresponds to the volume of 6.5kg of minced meat. So if you have a recipe that calls for 500g of minced meat, you can prepare 75g of dry veggie mince instead. You may be wondering why the 75g of veggie mince granules don't produce 500g of finished veggie mince after soaking? This is because even after soaking, the Veggie Mince retains a higher volume per weight compared to animal minced meat. Therefore, it does not need to be replaced in a recipe in a 1:1 ratio by weight, but rather by volume. This volume ratio is important for the mouthfeel and the even distribution of the different ingredients in your dish.
