Berlin, October 2025 – After more than 16 years, Lotao founder Stefan Fak will hand over the management to Alexander Drees on October 31, 2025. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for the organic food brand, which has been committed to plant-based nutrition of organic quality since its founding.
A vision that endures
What began in 2009 with a passion for special rice varieties is today an established brand for organic plant-based products – known for ready meals, protein-rich alternatives and innovative food concepts.
Stefan Fak built Lotao with creativity, vision, and conviction. His ambition to combine enjoyment, sustainability, and social responsibility remains an integral part of the company's identity.
Continuity with new impulses
Alexander Drees will take over as Managing Director on November 1, 2025. With his many years of experience in the food industry, he intends to continue the brand's development and introduce targeted new initiatives.
The product range will soon be expanded to include new plant-based items – including vegan gyros, kebab variations, and filled ravioli based on the popular Veggie Hack. All products continue to adhere to the Lotao principle: purely plant-based, natural, and free from artificial additives.
