For 4 people:

Bring 2 cups of jasmine rice to a boil with 4 cups of water and a pinch of salt over medium-high. Then simmer with the lid closed at the lowest level for approx. 12 minutes. Remove the rice from the stove and let it rest for another 10 minutes with the lid closed. Serve as you like.
