For the base:

✓ 100 ml almond milk (or other plant milk)
✓ 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the caramel:

✓ 80 g Lotao coconut blossom sugar
✓ 50 ml creamy coconut milk
✓ 1 tbsp coconut oil
✓ 1 pinch of Lotao sea salt

For the topping:

✓ 50 g vegan dark chocolate (min. 70%)
✓ 1 tsp coconut oil
✓ 1 pinch of Lotao sea salt

Preparation time : approx. 30 minutes (including cooling time)

Preparation of the caramel chocolate bars:

  1. Create a base
    Combine the pea protein powder with the oats and coconut flour in a bowl. Then stir in the peanut butter, maple syrup, almond milk, and vanilla extract until a smooth, formable mixture forms. Add a little more liquid if needed.

  2. Form the mass
    Press the mixture evenly into a baking dish (approx. 20x20 cm) lined with baking paper and smooth it out. Press firmly.

  3. Making vegan caramel
    Combine coconut blossom sugar, coconut milk, and coconut oil in a small saucepan. Heat while stirring until the sugar has melted. Simmer gently for about 5 minutes, until the caramel thickens. Season with a pinch of salt and pour over the bar base.

  4. Finish with chocolate topping
    Melt the chocolate and coconut oil over a pan of simmering water. Pour over the caramel layer and sprinkle with some Lotao sea salt.

  5. Let cool & cut
    Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Then cut into 8 bars – your plant-based power snack is ready!
