After so many stories about coconut blossom sugar, a recipe tip shouldn't be missing: The Oriental Kiss Pops that we came up with not only look great, but they also have a very special taste: the delicate note of cardamom and mace combined with the caramel sweetness of coconut blossom sugar harmonizes perfectly as a sweet and spicy lollipop.
Ingredients:
(for 40 sticks)
- 250g wheat flour
- 125g rye flour
- 10g baking soda
- 150g honey
- 80g Lotao Java Kiss coconut blossom sugar
- some cinnamon
- some mace
- some cardamom
- 1 egg yolk
- 100g butter
- 1 vanilla bean
- 40 popsicle sticks
- Almond sticks, Smarties and walnuts to decorate
Preparation:
- Mix the wheat flour with the rye flour and the baking soda. Cut the vanilla pod lengthwise and add the inner pulp. Heat the honey slightly and knead it into a dough with the egg yolk, the soft butter, Java Kiss coconut blossom sugar and the spices.
- Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 3 hours. Knead the dough again, roll it out to about 7 mm thick and cut out shapes.
- Insert the ice cream sticks into the dough pieces and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Decorate with nuts and brush with a little milk. Bake at 180 degrees for about 10-15 minutes.
- Finally decorate as desired. Bon appetit!
