  • Ready to use in 5 minutes – no soaking, no absorption: just start cooking

  • Rich in vegetable protein – 70% protein content keeps you full for a long time and supports a conscious diet

  • Meal prep-friendly – the filling can be perfectly prepared or frozen

Ingredients for about 10 samosas:

✓ 1 pack Lotao Veggie Mince
✓ 1 large potato, boiled and diced
✓ 1 small carrot, finely diced
✓ 100 g peas (fresh or frozen)
✓ 1 small onion, finely chopped
✓ 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
✓ 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
✓ 1 tbsp tomato paste
✓ 1 tbsp garam masala
✓ 1 tsp cumin
✓ Salt & pepper to taste
✓ Fresh coriander or parsley
✓ Some oil for frying

👉 For the pastry shell:
✓ Filo pastry (from the refrigerated section)

Preparation:

  1. Fry the flavor base
Sauté onions, garlic and ginger in a little oil until translucent – this is the basis of the flavor.

  2. Refine veggie mince with roasted flavors
Add the Lotao Veggie Mince directly (dry) to the pan. Season with cumin, salt, and pepper. Sauté for just a few minutes – thanks to its special recipe of jackfruit and pea protein, it absorbs flavor immediately while remaining pleasantly firm.

Benefits: Saves time when cooking and still delivers the full flavor of fresh minced meat.

  3. Mix in vegetables
Add the diced potatoes, carrots, and peas. Stir in the tomato paste and mix well. Finally, fold in the fresh herbs.

  4. Let cool
To prevent the dough from tearing, the filling should cool to room temperature.

  5. Forming samosas
Cut the filo pastry sheets into strips. Place a spoonful of filling around the edge and fold into triangles. Seal the edges with water.

  6. Baking instead of frying
Place the samosas on a baking tray, brush with a little oil and bake at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
