Vegan Christmas trees with veggie mince

Are you still looking for a simple and beautiful snack for your Christmas table? Then try our Christmas trees made from puff pastry and veggie mince. They are super quick to make and a great eye-catcher on any Christmas buffet!

Ingredients for approx. 8 skewers:

2 puff pastry rolls
50g Lotao Veggie Mince
1 small onion
1 clove of garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp soy sauce
80ml pureed tomatoes
some pepper, paprika powder, garlic powder and oregano
(Vegan) cheese for the stars
✓ 8 wooden or bamboo skewers

Also: star-shaped cookie cutter

Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

2. Prepare the veggie mince according to the package instructions.

3. Fry the onion and garlic in olive oil. Add the veggie mince and fry until spicy. Add the spices and fry a little. Deglaze with soy sauce.

4. Add the tomato paste and fry a little. Finally, deglaze with pureed tomatoes.

5. Roll out the puff pastry. Spread the sauce on top and place the other puff pastry roll on top.

6. Cut the puff pastry into 2cm thin strips and shape into a Christmas tree.

7. Skewer the Christmas trees and place them on a baking tray.

8. Bake at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes (or until golden brown).

9. For the top, cut out the cheese using a biscuit mold and skewer it.
